In recognition of the seriousness of non-compliance with export controls, the University may address non-compliance with employee discipline including termination of employment in accordance with existing University policies and procedures. Additionally, fines and penalties (including jail time) from government agencies may be applied on an institutional basis, individual basis, or both depending on the nature of the violation.
